Tatcha

a pop-up of bounce, beauty, and buzz

To celebrate the launch of their new Dewy Milk Moisturizer, Tatcha tapped Mother Sauce to concept, design, and produce a multi-day experiential pop-up in the heart of SoHo. Part retail space, part experiential, the pop up was crafted to capture and highlight the key skin benefits of the product: bounce, weightless, and glow. The creative direction brought together these concepts along with the joyful spirit of Jiyū Chan, Tatcha’s new bouncing bunny character, and of Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee, the face of the campaign. The result was a tactile, plush world where skincare met story, and play met performance. Guests were greeted by a 5-foot-tall Jiyū Chan, custom bouncy inflated walls in Tatcha’s signature brand hues, and a claw machine filled with mini skincare treasures. A photo moment reimagined bounce house aesthetics through an artistic lens, filling the room with Tatcha purple bouncing globes suspended from the ceiling and walls to create a artful and airy backdrops for the video booth.

Tatcha Dewy Milk Moisturizer Pop Up

Shot by Tyler Tolon | Popped up in Manhattan's Soho neighorbood

To drive product engagement and sales, guests who purchased the Dewy Milk Moisturizer received an exclusive plush Jiyū Chan bag charm, unlocking access to the Tatcha Charm Bar, a luxe station where visitors could personalize their keepsake with charms in Tatcha’s signature gold and purples. The experience was elevated with thoughtful sensory details: DJ sets by an all-female lineup filled the air with buoyant beats, while guests sipped on color-custom Tatcha Matcha and nibbled on boucy jelly bites inspired by Japanese flavors. On day two, Suni Lee made a special appearance for a public meet and greet, drawing lines that wrapped around the block. Overall, foot traffic and visitor count went well beyond projections and client goals, with sales accelerating on the second day of the pop up with Suni's visit.
