an ethereal salon of silk and story
Mother Sauce orchestrated a multisensory production of photo, film, and fashion, culminating in an experiential show held at the historic Peterson House, home to the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies. Drawing from the collection’s deep references to early 20th-century Expressionism, the flapper era, and the sinuous elegance of Art Nouveau, the show unfolded as a salon-style gathering. Guests entered the candlelit parlor of a West Village brownstone, where the air was perfumed with lit beeswax candles and the notes of live jazz being played by a band.
Buci’s Fall ’24 and Resort ’25 NYFW Show
Shot on Panasonic Lumix zs35, camcorder, and iPhone. Each look in the collection was rooted in a story of nymphs, goddesses, blossoms, and mythical beings, which informed not only the creative direction of the photography and film, but also the expressive movement and choreography of each model in the show's production. These ethereal narratives were incorporated throughout the production, culminating in a decadent, dreamlike flower toss as the finale, as an exhale of color and celebration to close the show.
