a system is more than the sum of its parts

To launch the inaugural OUIE collection Mother Sauce worked with creative director Raymond Gee and photographer Casanova Cabrera to create imagery that captured Ouie's jewerly system. Form follows function here across both the pieces themselves and the images. Using polaroid film pieced together in a collage, each image becomes a new image in totality beyond what a singular photograph could capture. So too, the utilitarian pieces of Ouie's jewelry system when paired together go beyond decorative fashion and jewels to create a playful means of self expression through oft overlooked clothing utilities like the toggle, key ring, and the carabiner clip.
